New Link with Pewsey Vale School
We are pleased to announce that the Club has formally joined
the Avon Valley School Sports Partnership (read more)
Sponsor(s) sought for Pewsey Junior Tennis Tournament
(14-19 April 2009)
After many years of sponsoring this very successful LTA ranking
Junior Tournament, Dreweatt Neate have regretfully called it a day, leaving
an opportunity for another business or businesses, probably with local
connections, to have their name associated with the event. All enquiries
to Jon Veale or Martin Wright (see contacts).

Clubmark Award Ceremony
Colin Gratton, our Chairman, attended the AGM of the Wiltshire
LTA on 2nd December on behalf of the Club, and received a certificate
recognising the Club's attainment of the Tennis Clubmark standard. (see
news item in October.) CG is 2nd from right in the Photo below..jpg)
November 2008
PTC Winter Ball
For the fifth consecutive year the Club held its Winter Ball
at Marlborough Town Hall. Over 100 members and guests enjoyed a champagne
reception with canapés followed by a two course dinner –
all food provided by The Bistro, Pewsey. Dance music was provided by Reflex
and attendees could select their favourite tunes to dance to.
A silent auction, a fun game of head & tails plus a raffle for a pair
of Wimbledon tickets, all of which help to raise in excess of £1500
towards club funds.
The club is very grateful to Jacqui Antzak, Sally Brown and Derrick Day
for organizing another successful Ball and to Neil Guthrie for acting
as compere for the evening.

October 2008
 Thanks
to a determined effort by all involved, but particularly our Chairman,
Colin Gratton, and our coaches, Martin Wright and Jon Veale, the club
has been granted the Tennis
Clubmark - a national standard for excellence in club administration.

- The Men's A team came top of Division 1 of the Swindon and District
league
- In the Club Tournaments held recently, Martin Wright and Jon Gregory
won the Men's
- The Women's champions were Lauren Cook and Rachel Popham
- In the mixed it was Rob Guthrie and Lauren Cook
- In the Parent and Child competition a few weeks earlier, Nick Hewens
and Luke were victorious
