Club History

Pewsey Tennis Club

A very friendly and active LTA affiliated and ClubMark accredited club with excellent facilities including a purpose built club house. There are six floodlit macadam courts. Currently there are 350 members of which 161 are juniors. New members are always welcome (see Membership).

Club Sessions are held every Wednesday evening (6.30 to 9ish) and Sunday mornings from 10.00. In addition there is a session for ladies from 9.15 on Thursday mornings. In the winter there is also Ladies Night on Tuesdays.

There is also Junior Club (12-18 years) held at 3.00pm on Sundays. Just turn up or contact Pauline Archer for details.

Matches
Pewsey TC enters up to sixteen teams in the Swindon and District League in Men's, Ladies' and Mixed Doubles, providing competitive play at all levels every week during the summer and winter seasons. With eight junior teams too, this adds up to by far the largest number of teams entered by any club in Wiltshire. The Mens A Team are the current summer league champions as they have been for four of the last five years.

In addition there are a number of in-club tournaments at weekends: Mens, Ladies, Mixed and 'Parent & Child', which all raise money for charity.

Juniors
There is a very active section for Juniors - for details see Juniors They have their own Club Session on Sunday afternoons (3.00pm)

Coaching
Group and individual coaching is available for Juniors and Adults. The highly qualified coaching team is led by the Head Coach, Martin Wright (01672 563288 or 07855 887568) See Coaching
